Tips for Selling Art

If you are trying to sell your artwork, here are some suggestions. Please remember that an appraisal is NOT a guarantee of the market value of artwork. Market value is whatever someone is willing to pay you and you are willing to accept.

Try one or more of these:

	place an ad in the "Art" or "Collectible" category of a major newspaper
	contact an auctioneer or auction house in your area (check the phone directory)
	list with an online auction site such as www.ebay.com
	contact local art galleries or framing shops in your area to see if they will take the art on consignment
